In the early hours of tomorrow morning (well in Australia anyway) the Wallabies will take the next challenging step in their current spring tour.

Last week we extracted sweet revenge against the bloody poms and boy did it feel good!

A lot of the critics are now saying that we will become complacent and lose what edge we have managed to get back under the reign of Deans.

I disagree, I believe if anything we will be even more fired up against the frogs.

Why would I say this?

How can anyone forget the drama that unfolded when John Eales threatened to walk his team off the field in the '99 world cup? All due to the dirty 'eye gouging' tactics of the frogs.

Let me refresh your memory; the following excerpt written at the time of the '99 world cup.

"France had been accused of dirty tactics in the semi-final win over New Zealand and Australian Captian John Eales threatened to lead the side off the field after making some on-field compaints to referee Andre Watson"

"There were certainly things happening on the field we weren't too happy about" Eales said. "The French are such a good side that they don't need to play like that to be competitive"

"Eales suffered a torn cornea in his red and swollen right eye. Team doctor John Best said three other Wallaby players - Richard Harry, Michael Foley and George Gregan - all got eye injuries while flanker David Wilson was kicked in the face"

Some say live and let live; forgive and forget.

This is rugby - nothing shall be forgiven or forgotten, there is just 80 minutes to prove your worth.

Tomorrow morning we shall see if history will repeat or if we can gain another crucial victory to try and instill some pride in the Australian supporters.

Because as we all know it is sorely lacking at this point.

Twilight PDF Print E-mail

Many many many months ago my best friend told me she had these 'vampire' books that she wanted me to read. The way that she described them made them sound naff. Indeed when anyone describes them they sound naff.

Naturally I resisted the constant urging to read them, thinking yeah yeah I'll get around to them eventually.

Eventually I did get around to reading them - and about two chapters into the first book (it is a series of four books in total) I was hooked. I couldn't believe that I had waited this long to read them.

I cannot describe these books with any justice, many the below can help:

"In Twilight, Bella Swan’s move to Forks could have been the most boring move she ever made. But when she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, her life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Bella"

It is a classic love story of star-crossed lovers with a horrible twist.

Captivating stuff.

I decided to write this blog because the movie of the first book - Twilight; is due for release in Australia on December 11 and I wanted to share with you my excitement about the movie.

It is going to be fantastic.

While it will inevitably not be the same as the book - because movies never are: I am sure that it will still be a wonderful interpretation of the novel.

There have been endless arguments about this between my circle of friends; however I firmly believe that while there is no pleasing everyone this movie will deliver the story in such a way that you will fall in love with the characters all over again.

I am not so ignorant however to believe that with a book that is so well loved by many; the movie will not be a disappointment to some of the die-hard fans.

So as you can probably tell my excitement -o- meter is in overdrive!

Check out the final Summit movie trailer
