Hmmm do you think they should have spell checked this article title before putting it live on Ninemsn?

This is just a tad embarrassing!

EDIT: Ninemsn have now obviously proofread their article, as you would know if you had clicked on the above link.

You would think however this is something that would happen earlier on the timeline.

In case you missed it, Ninsmsn has not covered all their tracks!

So over the last couple of months I have been the biggest fattest laziest git eva!

I have neglected my poor poor website....

Well no more.

Kicking off the new regime are photos of a 'Kid's Kitchen' night that I went to a while ago.

I actually had a half written blog to go with these pictures, but today when I logged in, it was GONE, gone I tell you.

I cannot be arsed to write it again, you will just have to deal with the piccies and lack of witty repoitare.

Til next time, which hopefully wont be too long.

The Vampire Diaries PDF Print E-mail

Well I loved the books as a kid and low and behold they have been made into a tv series.

You know straight away when you watch a tv series that has been adapted from a book that it is going to be a terrible imitation and that you really shouldn't bother because it will wreck the original satisfaction.

The tv adaptation of "The Vampire Diaries" is no exeception.

We are now two episodes into the series and yes it is another of the teenage drama category, which normally I thrive on - just ask anybody who has met me. But this one is borderline. I do not find myself waiting anxiously for it to be aired in America each week so that I can race home and download it.

I can see myself growing to like it in the coming weeks but only for one reason.... well actually two.

The vampire brothers.

They are probably the only intriguing part of the show, with the creators shying away from the more 'harmless' type of vampire that you may read/see in something like Twilight although not going to the extremes of True Blood.

While there is still the traditional plot line of brother against brother until eternity, one being 'evil' and one being 'good', somehow that is what makes this show.

I don't know about the rest of you but I am getting a little sick of all the goody too shoes shows that the American networks are bringing out nowadays. A perfect example being the disgustingly sappy and preachy - The Secret Life of the American Teenager.

These two brothers despise each other - and yes inevitably it is over a girl, but is it over a girl that died over a century ago or over the girl that lives amongst them today?

During the drib and drab of the second episode I finally started to really pay attention and it was because of the scenes with the two brothers. They bring something a little darker to the show and a little bit of comedy.

Of course it also doesnt hurt that as usual the tv casting executives have earnt their pay packet and have case some hotties!

Well I will just have to keep on watching to see if the show ever does improve or maybe....

I might just continue watching it for the brothers.

I don't know - what do you think?

Sooo who do think is evil brother? and who do you think is good brother?

Miley V Guy PDF Print E-mail

As much as I hate to admit it, there is something about Miley Cyrus that makes you like her inspite of your best instincts.

Don't ever find yourself turning on the telly on a Saturday morning and think "Oh I'll just have my cup of tea while watching Hannah Montana and then I'll do the housework" - It doesn't work like that people.

There is something about her screen and music presence that just makes you want to keep watching. Sort of like the compulsion to slow down and look at a car crash.

So over the past year I have found myself listening to her music on the radio and actually tapping my foot along to the beat.

I know, I know I can never show my face in public again!

Now usually people will say that only the original version of a song is the best.

Watch the clip below and tell me again that Miley does it better?

Had Guy Sebastion originally released this song it would have been a smash!

I love it!

And I totally agree with this article where the author ponders "Watching this clip kinda makes me think that none of the singers on this year's Australian Idol even come close to matching Guy's standard, but maybe that's just me..."
